This Book Purse is made from a gorgeous vintage children\'s religious textbook, \"God Made the World and Other Bible Stories.\" The brown cloth cover is decorated with a large image of two angels flanking the Bible growing out of the Tree of Life. I think the image is very Art Nouveau, particularly in the vines and flowers at their feet, and I chose the olive green floral fabric for the lining to enhance that.
The handles are made with brown wooden beads on an antique gold metal frame. The purse closes with a large vintage plastic button and grosgrain ribbon loop. When not in use, the handles may be folded inside the purse and you can store it on a bookcase just like a real book.
There is a narrow pocket inside perfect for a slim phone or wallet, and the spine is reinforced for durability.
The dimensions are approximately 9 1/8\" long, 1\" wide, 6 1/2\" tall, and the handles are 6\" wide by 4\" tall.
